Sutter Medical Group (formerly known as Sutter West Medical Group) is a provider of medical care offering both primary care and specialty care to the communities they serve. They accept most insurance. Sutter Medical Group is affiliated with Sutter Davis Hospital. Sutter Medical Group has numerous physician office locations in Yolo and Solano Counties, including Davis, Dixon, Winters, and Woodland.

On April 13, 2011, California's insurance commissioner Dave Jones accused Sutter Health (one of California's largest health care givers) of fraudulently charging insurers up to hundreds of millions of dollars over the past decade for anesthesia services that in some cases weren't even provided. According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, Sutter officials say that the organization has yet to see any evidence of fraud or billing improprieties and believe the accusations are without merit.

Medical Professionals are limited by HIPAA as to what information they can make public about their patients, including who their patients are. As such it is very hard for Doctors, Dentists, and Psychiatrists to respond to negative comments on the wiki. Please keep this in mind while reading any comments.

2011-08-25 14:26:16 I'm really starting to wonder why everyone raves about how good Sutter is and why it does so well in rankings. Maybe that's just for the hospital? I have been unimpressed with the level of care that I have received from a variety of doctors, and dealing with the billing department is an absolute nightmare. —CovertProfessor

2011-09-13 18:32:54 Don't go to the Sutter Medical Group on Anderson Road. I went there with a severe cough and vommitting after coughing and the doctor told me I had a lingering cough from a cold. A month later it turned out I had whopping cough and was highly contagious. I also found out later that vommitting after coughing is a main indicator and symptom of whopping cough. —ARL589

2017-04-28 15:41:40 I had an appointment with Dr. Crystal Blankenship at the Anderson Road clinic. She ordered an unnecessary procedure without consulting with me that resulted in hundreds of dollars in medical bills I cannot afford. Despite filing complaints and relentlessly self-advocating, I now cannot afford life-saving cancer treatment as a result of Dr. Blankenship's actions. She has not reached out to me or shown any compassion for me or the situation she has put me in. I strongly caution any current and prospective patients away from this physician. She is callous and dangerous. —Teacher

2020-06-01 17:25:38 If you are a female patient, please be wary of Sutter Davis primary care physician, Dr. Arfan Din. He cornered me in an exam room and forced me to consent to a highly invasive and elective medical procedure that I didn't want to have. I felt frightened and violated as if I didn't have the right to make esecutive decisions about what happens to my own body. When I posted about my disturbing experience with Dr. Din on social media, he made threats against my employment and he tried to sue me in an effort to silence me. Dr. Din took an oath to first do no harm; however, Dr. Din's behavior towards me has been deliberate and substantial. I believe he is a dangerous doctor based on his behavior towards me in the exam room as well as his attempts to intimidate me into silence for going public. —MelissaHayes
