Brier Creek is an expansive residential subdivision located at the interchange between I-540 and US 70 (Glenwood Avenue) in Northwest Raleigh near the Wake and Durham County border. The neighborhood is in close proximity to areas such as William B. Umstead State Park, Raleigh-Durham International Airport, and the nearby city of Durham.

Major stores include Walmart, Target, Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Kohl's, Best Buy, and T.J. Maxx. Also serving the area is Frankie's Fun Park, the Regal Brier Creek movie theater, and the Fred Anderson car dealerships near Umstead Park.
