There are several places that provide canoe and kayak access to the Neuse River. Paddling is a great way to explore the Neuse River.

See turtles, waterfowl, shorebirds, turkeys, and deer as you float under the canopy of pines and hardwoods. 

Falls Lake Dam to Capital Blvd

If you book a canoe or kayak quick trip at a place like Paddle Creek, they will drop you off at the parking lot just below the Falls Lake Dam and pick you up at the parking lot at Capital Blvd. This is described as a 3-mile run and takes about 90 minutes. 

Capital Blvd to Buffaloe Rd

Paddle Creek also offers a 4-hour, 8-mile run from the parking lot at Capital Blvd. to the parking lot at Buffaloe Rd.
