Perry Creek Road is an arterial thoroughfare running through northeast Raleigh. Named for a small creek that drains from Gresham's Lake to the Neuse River, the roadway primarily runs parallel to I-540.

Route Description

Perry Creek Road begins at Capital Boulevard as a continuation of Durant Road, carrying five lanes of traffic. The roadway is primarily surrounded by residential development and dense forestland, with connections to the WRAL soccer complex. After crossing theponymous creek, Perry Creek approaches Louisburg Road, marking the first appearance of commercial development. East of the intersection, Perry Creek briefly narrows to two lanes, only to become a four-lane boulevard at Virgilia Court. Now traveling due south, Perry Creek meets theastern terminus of Fox Road and travels behind Wake Tech's northern campus. It then becomes the main thoroughfare of Raleigh's 5401 North subdivision, approaching its current eastern terminus at Wallace Martin Way.
