What led you to transition to the role of an artistic director?
Jeff Daniels. He has taught me many things — not only about the work that we do but about how to be a better man. One of these lessons is that along the way, you pick up people who believe in you. And, you hang on to them. Jeff believes in me. Every job I have ever had — in show business or washing dishes or whatever — has had a hand in preparing me for this work. I’m still learning. My professional survival depends on it.
