The Cylburn Arboretum is a 207-acre public park, garden, and nature preserve located in northwest Baltimore.

The property features several hiking trails, manicured gardens, a historic mansion, and a nature museum. Visitors can explore the woodland trails, attend educational programs, or participate in guided tours of the grounds.

An arboretum is a botanical garden that specializes in growing and studying trees, shrubs, and other woody plants. It may have collections of specific types of trees, such as conifers or fruit trees, or it may focus on a particular geographic region or ecology.

Residents can participate in educational opportunities, as well as a place for peaceful walks or picnics. It's a resource for plant enthusiasts or anyone interested in landscaping, gardening, or environmental conservation.

Workshops, guided tours, or classes on topics such as pruning techniques, plant identification, or the benefits of trees to the local ecosystem are available.

The arboretum was established in 1863 as a private estate and has since been transformed into a public green space with a diverse collection of trees, plants, and wildlife. The arboretum is also home to the Vollmer Center, a LEED-certified facility that serves as a space for up to 100 guests for events ranging from weddings to galas, fundraisers to birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and corporate events.
