Central Catholic is the only Catholic high school in the Bloomington Normal Area. With an enrollment around 400, it is also one of the smaller schools around this area. The tuition is a bit steep, but if you wish to raise your children in a Christian Environment then this is the school for your kids. The local feeder schools are St. Mary's School, Holy Trinity Elementary and Jr. High, and Epiphany Elementary and Jr. High. The tuition currently is around $7,000 a year but they do offer scholarships, financial assistance, and food being free at some times. Central Catholic recently had their 20+ year principal Joy Allen retire at the end of the 2013-2014 school year and had the former Junior Religion teacher Sean Foster take over as the new principal. Not only does CCHS help build your child's faith but this school also helps build young men and women through everything it does.

Sports

Central Catholic is the smallest high school in town, but for the small school it is they play a lot of bigger schools for their sports. Most recently in the 2013-2014 boys basketball season, the Saints won the 2A State title in an amazing triple overtime game at Bradley University. The Boys football program plays a lot bigger schools than a normal school because of their multiplier they have for being a private school. The football team plays mostly 4A teams with a few 5A and 6A schools as well. They recently won a state title in 4A in 2008. The football team has won 4 state titles in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A. Recently as of the 2013 season, Head coach Bobby Meows retired and his brother Mike Meows who was already Defensive coordinator moved to head coach. For all sports, Centrals rivals have been U-High for years (another local school in town.

With a well-educated staff and a small amount of students, the facility is able to personally get to know each and every student. This therefore results in first name basis relationships and creates a family environment. Considering tuition can be tough for some, the school even has a number of alternative options available to students and families in order for the student to attend; the school cares about teaching the faith and the impact they can have on the students and families, not the impact they will have on your wallet. Not many people have ever been denied because of money problems. CCHS is very understanding and willing to help in any way the can.
