Davis Skate (was?) a weekly tradition for a group of dedicated skaters. They met every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Farmers Market at 4th and C Streets, the skate beginning 10 minutes past the hour. There were several regular routes the group took which led them through various neighborhoods, bike paths, and parks of Davis. The pace depended on the level of experience of the group, and any level skater was encouraged to join. The routes allowed for several rest and water stops. Safety gear was recommended.
