Eastman's Originals Collection

Eastman's Originals Collection is a collection of historical postcards and negatives representing life in Davis and several other Central Valley communities in the 1940s and 1950s. The photographs were taken by Jervie Henry Eastman. The collection is an important source of information about Davis' history and was donated to UC Davis in 1994 by Anne Fisher. It is now held in the Special Collections at Shields Library. The collection is open for research, or you can browse it online.

Buildings featured in the collection include the Varsity Theater, Historic City Hall, the Boy Scout Cabin, and the now-demolished Terminal Hotel.
