The University Library has a lot of great resources for students and the community. Below are some cool things you might not know about the library.

  • Napping spots: One of the best napping spots is the bean bags on the 5th floor.
  • Get your sunshine: During the middle of winter in Menomonie, the south facing windows on the upper floors of the library are great spots for studying or just hanging out in the warm sunshine.
  • Video games: The library has a huge archive of current and classic video games and video game consoles in the game room.
  • Streaming movies: If you are a Stout community member, there are many documentaries and films that can be streamed for free from the library.
  • Art books & comics: They have a great selection of art books and also an excellent comics and graphic novels section.
  • Children's section: Great selection of children's books with comfy beanbag chairs for reading.
  • Interlibrary loan: They can get just about anything you need if you ask.
  • The Archives: The archives has tons books, papers, and other artifacts from Menomonie and Stout's history.
  • Community borrowing: You don't have to be a Stout student to use the library. 
  • Librarians: The librarians will help you find whatever you need.
