To report a crime or suspicious circumstance in Monta Loma:

For Emergencies

  • Call 911

Most, but not all, cell phone calls made to 9-1-1 within city limits (except on state highways like HWY 101) should automatically be routed to the Mountain View Police Department Emergency Communications center. However, residents should also program *650-903-6395* into their cell phones as well, as a backup if dialing 9-1-1 gets routed to the CHP (if you get a live CHP operator immediately, DON'T HANG UP - at that point you can just tell them you will call MVPD directly). That is the cell phone emergency and non-emergency line. It is important when calling this number to report an emergency incident, to tell the operator/dispatcher that you are calling from a cell phone. They will ask you some questions - call back number, location, etc. just in case the cell drops the call.

For Non-Emergencies

  • Call 903-6395 for non-emergency calls and "cold" (not in-progress) incidents.

  • Go to [WWW]http://www.mvpd.gov and click the On-Line Reporting link at the left. This is an alternative to the 903-6395 non-emergency number. Incidents reporting online will be reported and handled in a similar fashion to those submitted by phone.
