381 Orange Street is a lovely Victorian-style house, dating back to at least 1902.

The earliest Sanborn map that shows the area is 1903, and uses the address 371 Orange Street. It likely changed to 381 during the 1912 renumbering. The first known residents were Robert Greig (died 1925) and his wife Mary Eaton Greig (died 1920), appearing in the 1902 and 1903 directories. (Orange Street exists before then, but earlier directories note that it was unnumbered, and the Greigs were living elsewhere in 1900.) They lived in the house until their deaths.

In 1905, a fire badly damaged the house; the Tribune said "Fire Destroys A Home." 1
