1931 1

The Alsinor Apartments were at 5435 Claremont Avenue, and opened in 1931. The 32-unit building was built and owned by Lewis Graham.

When constructed, they included Simmons wall beds from O'Keefe and Company.

Most of the parcel containing this building was acquired by the California Division of Highways (predecessor to Caltrans) on September 10, 1965, and the building itself subsequently demolished for the construction of the Grove Shafter Freeway (Highway 24) and BART. 2,3
