The Downtown Property Owners Association was a group of business owners in the 1930's who advocated for business growth and development in Oakland, California.
On October 12, 1932 Joseph R. Knowland and Harrison Robinson of the Downtown Property Owners Association traveled to Washington, D.C. to lobby for $62 million in federal funds for the construction of the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge.
