Einar Oas (March 17, 1892 – June 10, 1971) was a real estate developer.

Oas was born in Norway on March 17, 1892. He emigrated to the U.S. about 1910. He married Farol Church (Oas) (1901 – ?), and they had two sons, Einar Oas, Jr. (1919 – 1998), and Robert Leon Oas (1925 – 2002). The Oas family spent time in both Seattle, Washington, and in Oakland. Although the 1920 and 1930 census records show their home as Seattle, Robert was born in San Francisco and baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in 1925.

Around 1925, the family lived at the namesake Farol Apartments, which the Oases owned. c.1942, they lived at La Cheatau at 6357 Broadway Terrace, which Oas built along with C. Hamilton Elrod.

The Oas got their names in the paper for more than just the new apartment building. In June, 1925, were accused of tax evasion by the U.S. government. Oas admitted his failure to pay taxes in 1921 and 1922, and paid what was owed ($127,188.39) plus a penalty ($3,365.38) and interest ($13,631.10). 1
