I live in the Maxwell Park neighborhood on Birdsall Avenue in East Oakland, near the Laurel. Among our neighbors, Birdsall is notorious for small, crowded streets and dangerous traffic which drives by at high speeds. We gathered signatures for a petition to get a speed bump, but the City told us that there wasn't funding for the project and has not responded to any further inquiries.
I'd like to map out all failed speed bump requests in Oakland, to get a sense of how they're geographically distributed across our city.

Street Name: 107th Ave (from MacArthur to Bancroft)
Story: Even though we have old speed bumps on our street they are not effective. On many weekend nights a caravan of cars race/drive down the street and turn on Bancroft Avenue , the speed bumps have not slowed the cars down. I would like information on how to get newer speed bumps installed and stop drivers from using our street as a raceway.
