The Soderberg map was published in 1899, and drawn by architect Fred Soderberg.

The map is remarkably detailed, and the birds-eye view shows buildings, trees and natural features in perspective. Around the edge of the map are drawings of various buildings of note in and around Oakland.

An article about it also mentions a Mr. Lawrence, but his name doesn't appear on the map; it's labeled "published by F. & H. Soderberg". 1 H. Soderberg likely refers to Fred's brother, Hans Soderberg.
