Temescal Mural is located on the eastern facing side of the Highway 24 overpass above 52nd Street, immediately west of Shattuck Avenue in Temescal. The mural also incorporates the pillars supporting the freeway and the BART tracks.
BART announced on November 5, 2015, that the paint will be removed from two pillars supporting BART as part of the transit agency's seismic upgrade work, although the artist will be recreating the mural on the pillars once the BART safety work is complete.
