The Turfin' Mural at 101 Jefferson St. was painted in 2018 by Creative Shields aka the Lower Bottoms Collective, including Timothy B, as part of the 2018 Oakland Mural Festival. The mural features 3 frames of a turf dancer, and is painted on the back of a PG&E substation.
During the painting of the mural, the batteries were stolen from one of the lifts and the electronics damaged. This slowed things down, but the mural was mostly completed by the end of the festival.
