Venus Mills was a flour mill, established in November, 1867, by W. Starr, and was located at 421 - 3rd Street. After operating for a year, Starr became business partners with E. Miles, and together the mill had a daily output of 100 barrels of flour. In 1872, John Carrick and C. H. Warner had purchased the business. By 1874, A. A. Hutchinson had joined them. 2

It may have been owned for a time by Henry Gould. 3
