The Big Float is an annual parade and beach party that takes place on the Willamette River.  The event is put on by the non-profit Human Access Project. They want the public of Portland to know that they can go swimming in the summertime!  Unless there's a sewer overflow event, but they promise that's less likely than a Willamette whale.  So go swimming!
