Tel Cairo is an American music group. Tel Cairo was formed in Northern California by Cameron Others and 7evin in 2008. The band’s genre is a combination of alternative rock, alternative hip hop, and electronica. It also has elements of experimental, trip hop, dub, and psychedelic rock.

 

Background

The group formed in a rehearsal studio in Vallejo, CA after an audition Cameron Others did for an old music project of 7evin’s. The music project disbanded and the two continued as a group. 

 

Voice of Reason

The groups debut album, Voice of Reason, was leaked to the internet the day after completion on January 26, 2013. The group self-released the album with a street date of April 16, 2013.

The album was recorded at Alley Avenue Studios in Sacramento, CA. Produced by Ira Skinner (Evening Episode, Chelsea Wolfe, Paper Pistols, Death Grips & !!! also known as Chk Chk Chk).
