The Jack Perry Memorial Park is a tiny park owned by the Port of Seattle with two interesting features. First, it's the first shoreline access south of downtown, providing occasional access for kayaks; the next access to the north is in the Olympic Sculpture Park. At least one more shoreline access is planned as part of the waterfront redevelopment. 

Second, it has a profusion of madrona trees sprouting up from the rocks. Madronas were once common along the waterfront but (being slow growing, vulnerable to disturbance, and hard to transplant) they are much less so today.
