The SF Anti-Displacement Coalition (SFADC) is a group of people working on issues of tenants rights, displacement and gentrification in San Francisco.
In their own words:
The San Francisco Anti-Displacement Coalition (SFADC) initially was formed by tenant organziations & allies to fight back against the Weiner-Farrell condo conversion legislation. SFADC successfully turned what was one of biggest threats to tenants, into legislation which will save thousands of apartments from conversions, and thousands of tenants from evictions. The coalition continues to organize against soaring evictions & rent increases in SF which has resulted in the displacement of thousands.
Founding members of the SFADC include Chinatown Community Development Center, Council of Community Housing Organizations, Eviction Defense Collaborative, Housing Rights Committee of San Francisco, Just Cause::Causa Justa, and the San Francisco Tenants Union.
