This park is located on Oriental Parade at the entrance to the town belt. It may have a real name.

The Barbara Anderson sculpture from the *Wellington Writers Walk* is located here.
There is a plaque that reads 'The city is indebted to the generosity of the late *George. H. Carter* by whose bequest these roadside gardens were made possible. 1955'

Two of the benches were dedicated in memory of Paul Damien Shanahan  and Matthew John Hall.
