City Park is a park located between Cross Street, Oak Avenue, Cleveland Street, and Walnut Street. It was Woodland's first public park. It features four tennis courts, a baseball/softball diamond, a playground, barbecues, picnic areas, and restrooms. The park can be reserved for private use.

Trees planted at City Park include the invasive weed species Canary Island Palm (Phoenix canariensis). Three tree species native to Woodland can also be seen at the park: Valley Oak (Quercus lobata), Interior Live Oak (Quercus wislizeni), and California Bay Laurel (Umbellularia californica). In addition, the Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia), Coast Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), and California Fan Palm (Washingtonia filifera) species at City Park are native to other parts of California. Other non-native trees at City Park include Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo), Common Hackberry (Celtis occidentalis), Eastern Black Walnut (Juglans nigra), Chinese Pistache (Pistacia chinensis), London Plane (Platanus × hispanica), and Little-leaf Linden (Tilia cordata).
