The East Bike Loop is one of Woodland's officially designated bicycling routes that has continuous bike lanes throughout its length. This 4.3-mile route actually consists of two loops - one around Pioneer High School and Woodland Community College, and a smaller one around a portion of northeastern Spring Lake. The route also contains an out-and-back connector to the Crosstown Bike Connector, which can be used to extend your bike ride out to the 7.5-mile West Bike Loop. The sections of the East Bike Loop route are as follows:

  1. The intersection of East Gum Avenue and Walker Street (at the south edge of Dick Klenhard Ballfield Complex) is where the Crosstown Bike Connector links to the East Bike Loop.
  2. From East Gum Avenue, head southeast on Walker Street until Pioneer Park.
  3. Head south along the west perimeter of Pioneer Park until Branigan Avenue.
  4. Cross Branigan Avenue and head west on it until Ogden Street.
  5. Head south on Ogden Street until East Gibson Road.
  6. Cross East Gibson Road and either head west to Pioneer Avenue or head east to County Road 102.
  7. At either Pioneer Avenue or County Road 102, head south until Farmers Central Road.
  8. Cross Farmers Central Road and head east on it from Pioneer Avenue or west on it from County Road 102 until Spring Lake Alley (between Miekle Avenue and Campos Avenue).
  9.  Head south on Spring Lake Alley until Heritage Parkway (passing by Jack Slaven Park along the way).
  10. Head east on Heritage Parkway until County Road 102.
  11. Head north on County Road 102 until you're back at Farmers Central Road (across the street from East Regional Pond).
  12. Head east to Spring Lake Alley to complete the southeast loop, and then go whichever way you didn't go before (west to Pioneer Avenue or east to County Road 102) to to complete the northeast loop back to the intersection of Ogden Street and East Gibson Road.
  13. If desired, retrace your route back to Dick Klenhard Ballfield Complex as well.
