Anderson Park

Anderson Park is located along College Avenue near both Epiphany Catholic Church and Chiddix Jr. High. The park has undergone a number of renovations within the past five years, including the restroom facility, playground, and the lighted baseball/softball diamonds. It is also home to three lighted tennis courts, an additional playground area , a basketball court, and a pair of pavilions. The pavilions are open for reservations through the Town of Normal, and are often used as gathering places for various family events.

If you are looking to use the park during the summer, keep in mind that a number of city-run summer camps use these facilities as well, so it might be hard to find space.

The park also holds host to the Anderson Aquatic Center. It was recently renovated to include a couple of small water slides and an improved welcome center/concession stand. While it is not as large as Fairview Park & Aquatic Center, the pool is still a great place to go to hang out with friends or relax with your kids. As the afternoon goes on, it also becomes less crowded a bit faster than Fairview does.
