Demolishing a Historic Hotel: a Sociology of Preservations Failures in Davis, California by John Lofland is a comprehensive book about the history and eventual demolition in 2000 of a building at various times called the "Terminal Building", "Terminal Hotel", or "Hotel Aggie," located where the current Chen Building is today. It also is a scrapbook of newspaper articles, photos, documents connected to the municipal events and proceedings to demolish the building.
