On April 22, 2014, the New York Times decided to publish a video about Oakland's fashion. The video heavily features the Lake Merritt area, especially Lakeshore and the alley between Trader Joe's and Lakeshore by Top Dog. There are some clips of the Grand Lake Farmer's Market. And lots of hipsters.
